WHAT WILL MY SESSION BE LIKE?

Newborn sessions are calm and soothing to best capture those sleepy baby poses. You may even fall asleep yourself with the dim lighting and soft music as I work patiently at the baby's pace allowing for breaks as they are needed.  Maternity and cake smash sessions are fun and relaxed.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

For maternity sessions, I provide complimentary use of my maternity gowns designed specifically for your photography session. For newborn sessions, I have everything you could think of including wraps, furs, blankets, headbands, and bonnets. For cake smash sessions, I provide complimentary use of my outfits.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO SCHEDULE MY SESSION?

I typically book sessions 1-3 months in advance so I recommend you book as soon as possible to secure your spot on my calendar.  Maternity portraits are scheduled within your 28th-34th week of pregnancy.  Newborn portraits are booked using your due date.  You can email or text me once you are home from the hospital and we will schedule the session date typically within 7-14 days of birth.  I purposely do not overbook newborn sessions to ensure availability in my schedule for those who booked in advance.  Cake smash sessions must be booked in advance if you would like the photos back before your baby's first birthday.

WHERE WILL MY SESSION BE HELD?

Maternity sessions are held at the location of your choice.  I can help in choosing between a park, beach, or open field.  Or maybe you have a place that is special to you.  Newborn and cake smash sessions are held in my private home studio and I have all of the necessary items to choose from for the session so you do not need to worry about a thing.  You will feel cozy and comfortable in my clean and equipped private studio where you can sit back and relax as you watch me photograph your baby.  I provide water and snacks as well.

WHEN WILL I VIEW MY PHOTOS?

About 2-3 weeks after our session we will schedule your ordering appointment where you will be able to view your images and I will help you choose which art pieces you would love to display in your home.

WHAT ARE YOUR STUDIO CLEANING PROCEDURES?

Cleanliness is always a top priority for me!  For newborn and cake smash studio sessions, hands are washed and sanitized often as well as wearing a mask.  All fabrics are washed and all props are sanitized after every session.

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

If you need to reschedule your session, you must notify me at least 14 days prior to our scheduled session date and the session must be completed within the same calendar year.  If there is going to be inclement weather on the day of our session, we will reschedule for a date that is mutually agreed upon and the session fee will transfer with it.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

The session fee that is due at the time of booking is non refundable.

WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND THAT I PRINT THROUGH YOU?

I recommend printing through me because I only use the best professional labs in the industry to guarantee your images look their best and will last for 100 years or more.

WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD WE SCHEDULE THE SHOOT?

For outdoor sessions, the best time for the most flattering light is the first hour after sunrise or the last hour prior to sunset.  These are typically scheduled for weekends.  I love sunset sessions, but I also adore sunrise sessions that capture the most dramatic and gorgeous skies if you are daring enough to set the alarm that early with me!  Studio sessions are typically scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE LOCATIONS TO SHOOT?

I have a few happy places!  For indoor sessions, my private home studio is calm and serene providing everything you could think of for your session and more.  My absolute favorite outdoor location to shoot is the beach!  Nature offers the perfect backdrop with the sky, clouds, and ocean.  There is also a park I love that offers a ton of old Florida nature spots and fields to shoot in.
